We repair aluminum and glass storefront doors: closers, pivots, locks, panic bars, and the hardware around them, plus the house and building doors that no longer latch.
What door problems do you fix?
A lot of lock trouble is really door trouble. A frame-house door that sagged on its hinges, a vestibule door that slams because the closer gave out, a storefront on Manhattan Avenue whose pivot wore through. We fix the door itself: hinges, closers, strikes, pivots, panic bars, and the glass and aluminum storefront doors on the avenue.
When people call us for this
- The door only latches if you slam it.
- A building or shop door will not close all the way, or closes too hard.
- A hinge is loose or the door drags on the floor.
- A panic bar on a back door stopped working.
- An apartment or office door needs replacing.
Do you replace whole doors?
Yes. When a door is beyond repair we replace it and fit the locks and hardware that go with it. When a repair is the better call, we say so.
How do I start?
Call or text a photo of the door, the closer at the top, and the edge where it latches. You get a written quote before any work starts.
What happens on the visit?
We come out from the shop with the parts your call or your photo told us to bring. Before we touch anything we show you what is worn, bent, or broken, then we do the work and test every lock and every key with you before we go. If the door itself needs something, we say so and you decide.
